City councillors have said yes to plans for a new artificial turf sports field at Holy Cross Secondary School.
Recreation Coordinator Robert Anderson says this will help the city get more use out of the spot.
The project would cost 3.7 million dollars and would be a 50-50 split between the city and the local catholic school board.
The construction timeline could have it ready for fall of 2019.
