A 56 year-old Peterborough woman will appear in court in August after an investigation by the Ontario SPCA.
The accused faces 33 counts of animal cruelty in connection to the treatment of numerous animals on a farm.
Officials say one horse, one goat, three dogs and 22 sheep were removed from the rural property after they were found to be emaciated and in need of care.
The animals are now in the custody of the Peterborough Humane Society.
