ELECTION REACTION: LEAL SAYS GOODBYE TO PUBLIC LIFE
6/8/2018 6:11:14 AM
For the first time since 2003, Liberal Jeff Leal will not be representing Peterborough at Queen's Park.
The changing of the guard means the end of an era.
The 63 year-old, who had served as a cabinet minister with the Wynne government, finished a distant third in the race with 24.6 per cent of the vote.
Leal says this is it for his career in politics.
He did thank former Premier Kathleen Wynne for her leadership during her time in office.
Prior to his venture into provincial politics, Leal served for almost 20 years on Peterborough City Council.
