SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA 4/12/2018 7:21:34 AM
It is looking like you will need your rainboots and maybe an ice scraper heading into the weekend as Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement.
The statement is warning of a significant ice storm to hit the area this weekend.
Meteorologist Etienne Gregoire says things will be getting messy.
The ice storm could result in precipitation amounts of up to 20 millimetres.
Travel is expected to be hazardous during the storm and motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution.
