CHALLENGER BASEBALL LOOKING TO KNOCK REGISTRATION OUT OF THE PARK
3/16/2018 1:01:03 PM

Peterborough Challenger Baseball is gearing up for its third season, and the first of two registration dates is this weekend.

Challenger baseball allows kids and young adults with cognitive or physical disabilities to play baseball, be part of a team, develop physical and social skills. There are two levels of play, junior for newer players and senior level for more experienced players.

The cost is $30 per player, and a registration booth will be set up at the YMCA tomorrow and Sunday from 9am until 3pm.

Tomorrow's registration will also include a cake auction and raffle, with proceeds going back to support Peterborough Challenger Baseball, and the 'Field of Dreams' project, to one day build a fully accessible ball diamond in the city. A second registration weekend will be held in mid April.
