Some issues on defence led to the Petes dropping their sixth straight, and 19th straight road game Saturday night in Barrie.

The Colts jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, scoring all three 68 seconds apart.

In a couple of instances, Colts players either found themselves untouched while shooting on the Petes net and putting the puck past Wells. In another instance, Wells made a huge pad save but the rebound was picked up by Barrie.

Early in the 2nd, the Petes finally found the scoreboard...not once, but twice.

The Petes first goal saw Der-Arguchintsev cut in front of the net and Korostelev bury the loose buck, and then Gogolev fed Robertson with the puck to cut the Petes deficit to 3-2.

However, later in the frame, one of the top goal scorers in the league, Dmitry Sokolov added to his tally, scoring two unanswered to not only give Barrie a 5-2 lead, but surpassed his teammate Luchuk to lead get his 47th and 48th goal of the year to put himself atop the goal scoring race.

Adam Timleck would get the Petes back within a pair in the third, Barrie would smack an empty net goal, Denoble would score a powerplay goal with three seconds left....the final would be 6-4 for Barrie.

The Petes next game will be tomorrow afternoon in Sudbury.
