PETERBOROUGH FIRE URGES YOU TO CHECK YOUR BATTERIES THIS WEEKEND
3/9/2018 3:54:26 AM
As we spring forward early Sunday morning, we need to remember change the batteries in our smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.
Peterborough Fire officials have put out the bi-annual reminder.
Fire Educator Amanda Nicholls says twice a year, old batteries should be replaced with new ones to ensure they do their job, which is save your life in case of a fire.
She also reminds everyone that it's the law to have working smoke alarms on every storey of the home and outside all sleeping areas, and for added protection, install smoke alarms inside all bedrooms.
We observe Daylight Saving Time at 3 a.m. on Sunday.
