NEW LONG-TERM CARE HOME COMING TO HAVELOCK

The provincial Liberals apparently have a plan in place to build a 128 bed long-term care home in Havelock.
The concept of the long awaited facility was announced by Eric Hoskins the Minister of Health and Long Term Care and Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal.
Leal says that with a large older population in both the City and County, this building will help relieve some pressure of capacity and the placement will be key.
The home, which will be part of a health campus for Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, is going to be built on Old Norwood Road, with construction set for the spring.
