RALLY HELD OUTSIDE LOCAL TIM HORTONS LOCATION
1/11/2018 9:05:06 AM

Labour activists around the province shouted loudly at what they describe as retaliatory practices against workers by Tim Hortons and its parent company.

Doug McDonald with the Peterborough and District Labour Council was among a crowd of about 30 outside the Tims location at Monaghan and Lansdowne yesterday and say it's wrong for workers to be punished for the spike in minimum wage.

Rallies were also held in Toronto, London and Ottawa as well as Cobourg, which received a visit from NDP Leader Andrea Horwath.
