The federal government is handing over some money in Peterborough County.

MP for Peterborough-Kawartha Maryam Monsef announced yesterday Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will get $187,114 in funding.

The figure includes $49,600 from the Municipal Asset Management Program along with $137,514 via the 2017-18 Gas Tax Fund allocation.

Monsef says the money will give the township a boost.

The Municipal Asset Management Program is a five-year, $50 million program that helps municipalities across the country strengthen infrastructure investment decisions.
