12/7/2017 7:25:03 AM

For those of us who are fortunate, its that time of year to give back and put a smile on those who are less fortunate. The Salvation Army is gearing up for its 'Christmas Food Hamper' to ensure that 6,500 needy individuals have an enjoyable holiday season. We spoke with Major Bert Sharp and she provides details.

Volunteers will be handing out the hampers on December 16th.

There are several businesses in the area who are aiding in the Christmas Food Hamper, such as Fresh Co., General Electric, Siemens and Quaker Oats just to name a few.
