The Peterborough area is getting money from the province to expand bike lanes.
The city is going to received just over $840,000, while the county can expect $300,000 to make improvements.
The funding was part of a major announcement yesterday by Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca in which he pledged $93 million for biking infrastructure for 120 different communities in Ontario this year.
The funding comes from proceeds of Ontario's cap-and-trade program.
