HUNDREDS TAKE IN ANNUAL REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE
11/11/2017 11:42:01 AM

Peterborough remembers.

Earlier today, hundreds gathered at the Cenotaph for the annual Remembrance Day Service.

Mayor Daryl Bennett was among the speakers.

President of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52, Joel Chandler, also addressed the crowd.

Following the service, city staff planted a Vimy Oak Tree, a tree descended from the acorns brought home by a Canadian solider from the battlefield at Vimy Ridge.
