PETERBOROUGH WOMAN IN SERIOUS CONDITION IN THANKSGIVING CRASH
10/10/2017 2:11:28 PM

A 58 year old Peterborough woman remains in a Toronto hospital following a serious crash on Highway 28 near Highway 7 last night.

Officials say a northbound vehicle swerved to avoid a collision with a southbound vehicle travelling in the wrong lane, but the two vehicles ended up colliding head on.

The woman was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre by air ambulance where she remains in serious condition.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 61 year old man from Burnt River, was transported to PRHC where he was treated and released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
