DRUGS, STOLEN PRODUCTS AND A WEAPON SEIZED BY POLICE

Five have been charged after police executed two search warrants yesterday.

Police say they went into a McDonnel Street home and seized a loaded 38 caliber handgun, more than 15 thousand in cash, brass knuckles, scales, cocaine and an unknown quantity of pills that are to be examined.


Jeffrey Jackson, 24, of no fixed address, is charged with the following:

         Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)

         Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana under 3kg)

         Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

         Unauthorized possession of a firearm

         Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm


Richard Buddo, 23, of Coursol Road, Montreal, is charged with the following:

         Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)

         Unauthorized possession of a firearm

         Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

         Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

         Fail to comply with a probation order


Steven Jackson, 22, Coursol Road, Montreal is charged with the following:

         Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)

         Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana under 3kg)

         Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

         Unauthorized possession of a firearm

         Unauthorized possession of a weapon (brass knuckles)

         Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

The three accused were held in custody and are scheduled to appear in court later today (May 19).


Police also raided a Hunter Street home and say they found cocaine and stolen property.   

The following persons were located at the residence and arrested:

Ryan Weaver, 34, of Hunter Street, is charged with the following:

         Possession of a schedule I substance (cocaine)

         Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

         Breach of probation


Meghan Casey, 33, of Hunter Street, is charged with the following:

         Possession of a schedule I substance (cocaine)

         Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
