The Otonabee Region Conservation Authority has provided an update to the ongoing Flood Warning.

Officials say many of the area lakes including Buckhorn, Chemong, Pigeon, Lower Buckhorn, Lovesick, Stony, Clear and Katchewanooka Lakes have dropped 10 to 15 centimeters since cresting late last week.

That has allowed the Otonabee River to drop about 17cm over the last few days.

ORCA expects waterbodies to our south, including Rice Lake and the Trent River to start to drop as well.

Officials still remind residents to avoid lakes, rivers, streams and creeks as the water levels and flows and temperatures are still hazardous.
