DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR 'POLICE CHIEF FOR A DAY' CONTEST
4/18/2017 6:47:46 AM

Do you know someone in Grades 6, 7 or 8 that you think could be our city's top cop?

Submissions are being accepted for the annual 'Peterborough's Police Chief for a Day' contest.

Constable Sean Nusink says with lots of police forces going through transitions with officers, he hopes this program will help a child decide to become an officer.

The winner will get to spend a day in uniform getting a tour of the station, attending events and spend the evening at the Knights of Columbus Police Appreciation Night.

The deadline to apply is on Saturday.

This year's theme is 'what would you do today for a safer tomorrow.'
