NO CHANGE IN ORCA'S FLOOD WARNING
4/17/2017 2:35:34 PM

ORCA's Flood Warning remains in place but the worst of the spring floods may be behind us.

Water going into the Kawartha Lakes from Haliburton is declining, which will in turn force the Tri-Lakes, which include Buckhorn, Pigeon and Chemong Lakes, to peak today or tomorrow while the remainder of the Kawartha Lakes continue to decline. The Otonabee River is also expected to continue at its current level over the coming days.

Roughly 30-40mm of rain is expected later this week, but ORCA says that shouldn't have a negative impact, but the warning remains to all residents to stay away from all lakes, rivers, streams and creeks as long as high water levels, fast flows and cold water temperatures persist.
