STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED NEARLY 8 HOURS AWAY

Two Peterborough teens are in custody in the great white north. It's alleged that they were involved in a police chase on Highway 144 near Timmins in a vehicle stolen from a George Street parking lot, a 1998 Toyota Corolla.

'TEDDY BEAR TOSS' NIGHT AT THE PETES' GAME

If you're going to the Petes game later, make sure you pack a teddy bear. It is the annual Teddy Bear Toss night at the Memorial Centre. Director of Game Day Operations, Tamara Burns, says it is going to be a busy night for the team's volunteers.

COUNCIL VOTES TO SELL PDI TO HYDRO ONE

After a lengthy debate and passionate discussion, a 6-5 vote means that Peterborough City Council has approved the sale of PDI to Hydro One. The decision was made at a special Committee of the Whole meeting last night at Showplace. Hydro One CFO Michael Vels applauds the move.

CAVAN MONAGHAN EMBRACES NEW ARENA COMPLEX

A project, years in the making, has finally received a green light in Cavan Monaghan. Earlier this week, councillors voted in favour of a building a new $15 million community centre which will feature an NHL-sized ice pad, walking track and fitness facilities.

FOUR ACCUSED IN PRINGLE MURDER APPEAR IN COURT

Some of the those accused in the city's latest homicide have appeared before a judge. Four of the six charged in connection to the death of Terry Pringle made appearances yesterday via video from Lindsay's Central East Correctional Centre yesterday.

24 kids were escorted around the mall by Peterborough's finest this morning for the 10th annual Cop Shop event at Lansdowne Place. Kids are selected each year by their individual school to take part, based on behaviour and school involvement.

POLICE ON THE HUNT FOR A HIT AND RUN SUSPECT

Police are on the hunt for a vehicle they say was involved in a pedestrian hit and run last night. They say a man in his early 20's received minor injuries after being struck in the area of Stewart and McDonnel. The suspect vehicle is described as a four-door silver Lexus.
