Following the tragedy in North York earlier this week, more than a dozen are continuing to recuperate in hospital. Their recuperation is also going to take up a lot of blood, and the blood supply on the sheleves will need to be replenished.

The annual 'A Taste For Life' fundraiser is being held this evening in support of the Peterborough Aids Resource Network. If you go out and eat dinner at a participating location, 25 per cent of sales will go to support PARN.

The province will be supporting the growing interactive digital media sector. Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal announced this week the government will support 136 interactive digital media projects across Ontario with an investment of over $9 million.

One person had to be taken to the PRHC after being burned during a house fire in the city. Crews were called in yesterday after a blaze broke out in a rear shed at the home on College Street. Damage is being pegged at $35,000.

TEN FIRST DEGREE MURDER CHARGES LAID IN TORONTO VAN ATTACK

Toronto Police have provided an update into the ongoing investigation into the death of 10 people in North York yesterday. Chief Mark Saunders says it took 7 minutes from the initial call of the van, to the point of arresting the suspect Alek Minassian.

'MOMBASSADORS' TO HOLD FUNDRAISER FOR PRHC FOUNDATION

A group of local moms have joined forces to raise funds for a brand new electronic fetal monitor for the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. The women are known as 'Mombassadors'. Sarah McDougall Perrin says the piece of equipment is vital for a newborn baby.
