PETERBOROUGH MAN CHARGED IN INCIDENT WITH HIS PARENTS

A Peterborough man is facing a slew of charges following an incident with his parents earlier this month. He's accused of assaulting his parents while at their home March 13th, and preventing his mother from leaving a room inside the home and calling police.

A weekend blaze is now considered suspicious and police are now investigating a case of arson. The fire broke out at the former biker clubhouse at the corner of Perry and Park just after midnight.

HEARING THURSDAY FOR OFFICER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

A Peterborough Police officer who recently pled guilty to impaired driving will now be the focus of a Police Services Act Hearing. Constable Brock Boynton was arrested on December 9th after a number of calls by witnesses about an erratic driver and a car parked on Chemong south of Milroy.

A weekend rescue from the Trent-Severn Waterway serves as a reminder that no ice is safe ice. Emergency crews pulled a man and his dog from the canal on Saturday afternoon in the Scollard Drive. We spoke with Peterborough OPP Constable Jason Folz a few weeks ago and he had this advice.

More than 300 people jammed The Venue over the weekend and helped turn Peterborough into 'Bollywood' for a night. The much-talked about fundraiser in support of the PRHC was held on Saturday night. Foundation President and CEO, Lesley Heighway, says everyone got on-board with this event.

When the bell rings today, Kenner Collegiate will have a new principal. Jennifer Knox will be starting her role this morning, taking over for Ron MacDonald. MacDonald has joined Fleming College as chairman of the School of Environmental and Natural Resources.
